Heisman Finalists and Winner Empty
PostSubject: Heisman Finalists and Winner    Heisman Finalists and Winner EmptyThu Aug 30, 2012 8:46 pm

Here is my Heisman predictions IN ORDER of projected placement, included HM:

1. MONTEE BALL, RB, Wisconsin (Just announced their starting QB yesterday and a pretty weak schedule for the most part)

2. Matt Barkley, QB, USC (Silas Redd adjusting nicely gives them a two headed attack, but more offensive options)

3. Marcus Lattimore, RB, South Carolina (Future NFL starter, has all the tools that Ball has but not as good of an O-line and less touches)

4. Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia (Made a statement in the Orange Bowl, 407 yards and 7 Touchdowns)

5. Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson (This is if he doesn't get suspended for his arrest. Incredible freshman year)

Honorable Mention:

Landry Jones, QB, Oklahoma
De'Anthony Thomas, WR, Oregon
Robert Woods, WR, USC
Knile Davis, RB, Arkansas
Mant'i Teo, LB, Notre Dame
Denard Robinson, QB, Michigan
A.J. McCarron, QB, Alabama

My preseason finalists in no particular order

Matt Barkley QB USC
Marcus Lattimore RB South Carolina
Denard Robinson QB Michigan
Robert Woods WR USC
EJ Manuel QB Florida State

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Montee Ball just announced their starting RB?

I say this completely unbiased, but Denard Robinson will throw way too many interceptions to be a Heisman finalist. He is incredibly fast and a very agile player, but he is a terrible passer.

As a Michigan fan I do agree that he is not that great of a passer but he won't throw as many interceptions as you think and the only think holding him back in the Heisman list will be because he doesn't have the receiving core that he had last year. They are worse in that category this year than last.

Hope so! But it won't. I think if Barkley can lead USC to an undefeated record he gets the nod.

I thought qb/rb was funny too haha but no way he will win it. I can comprimise and say finalist but he has no chance of winning it as a terrible passer with a lesser receiving core. We will see though week 1 if he can handle bama, which i do not think he will.

except I am afraid you are right about Barkley, that offense is loaded which i hate. If Ball doesnt have another career year behind that o-line then yea id have to say barkley. another friggin Pretty Boy

Remember the last time Alabama faced a "Quarterback" who plays alot like Denard?

O yeah...Scam Newton.
